I have a full frontal Radtec Intercooler with the fans on the front of the intercooler and in cooler months the radiator fans come on and shut off perfectly, however with warmer months the fans really struggle to swith off at all unless I'm on open road.
Im thinking the fans need to be sitting on rad to be more effective at cooling the coolant.
so my question is has anyone had the Radtec setup and has relocated the fans onto the radiator?

 

Mate had an S2 with a similar GRS cooler set up. He too struggled with low speed town driving over heating.

He wrote the car off and bought a Cossie.

 

Relocating them to the radiator could definitely improve cooling, especially in warmer months. I haven't done it myself, but it’s a common mod in the community. If anyone has tried it, they might share how it worked out for them. Worth experimenting with

 

Decided go for the Airtec setup which has fans on rad.
