Default Alternator not charging

I fit a Zetec a while back along with a new alternator. It was sometime between taking the old engine out and putting the new one in so I might have missed a cable or something as the battery isn't charging. Engine starts fine but the battery is only outputting 11 volts with engine on.

Have I missed a cable somewhere? The main connector with the 3 wires inc the blue one is all connected.

Hi mate thanks for the reply. Just got back in from spending most of the day on it (and trying to sort megasquirt, bloody idle settings...).

Turns out I was being a right Wally. Because I'm using powder coated brackets the thing wasn't grounded. So I made a cable up to connect it to the block. All working now! I think I need one of those surpressors on it but don't know how critical that is.
