You need to describe the management/setup you have, given it's not standard.

Ok, so providing it's mapped correctly, the only thing you can do is adjust the CO pot (i.e.a screw on the ECU) assuming you are not running closed loop.

The thing is yours will probably have had a live map, given there are no off the shelf calibrations for the CVH, as it's not the standard management.

This means you don't know what the CO value should be, only whomever mapped it will.

Be aware, there may be an underlying fault(s) causing this ranging from an air leak to sensor issue.

i was checking the sensors and read that tps should go up from 0volts to 5volts on the l8 ecu i was told i have a l8 but my tps starts at 5 volts and goes down to 0 throttle full open ?? dose this mean i really have a l6 as when i looked at the inside it looks like the l8 with small extra board can anyone tell me if there another way to identify which i have

It's the polarity, not the TPS, nor ECU

You are correct in your understanding of the operation, which IF you have an L8 (most likely) means someone has likely used a 2WD loom (so the outer wires on the TPS need inverting) or just fitted it wrong, period.

There are two TPS's, PF01 and PF09, the latter was used on the 4x4 (L8) and BT Escos.

The easiest way to determine which one you have (in lieu of being able to look at it) is to do a continuity test, PF01 is open circuit at idle, 09 won't be.

but i want to know which ecu it is as then can check if the tps is the right one or if there has been a 2wd loom used is there a sure way of testing or could i send you photos as the ecu is in a l6 case as seen on the website bigturbo.co.uk so a little lost

cheers

That's an L6, with a Pectel board.

What makes you think the TPS is the issue?

Not really, although it will run, idle strategies etc will not operate.

mine works but theres is a jump in volts somtimes so not sure if its 100% good gonna check all the other sensers this week but as you confirmed mine is a l6 will try and find a pf01 to be sure as hard to get hold of now since they dont make them anymore

I doubt it, easiest way to check is to plug it and see if the idle is improved.

The calibration can be adjusted.

well was busy this weekend looking for air leaks as tested all sensors and thought a new throttle gasket was a good start and when i took it off seen that i have a pf09 pts 😡

could this be the cause of my bad idle ??
i think so
so got a 2nd hand pf01 ebay now wait and fit when it comes

It will yes, the PF01 is different as it contains a switch, which is open circuit at idle.

The ECU looks for this signal to activate it's idle/overrun strategies.

Hence why I said, unplugging it would determine the idle improvement.
