Hi everyone…

Its been MANY years since I have posted in this section of the forum but I have the urge to buy something Ford again as a run about and have been offered a Ford Orion EFI cheap.

Obviously it requires some work, however, in the longevity of the vehicle, it will possibly end up turbo charged with either a 1600cvh turbo or a Zetec turbo.

What I want to know, is it has an EFI system in there which looks the same as the a Fiesta turbo inlet etc…Does this make turbo-ing it any more easier? Would I be able to go down say EFI Turbo route easily? Also does it mean I could potentially use the 1600 engine in there to turbo (Steel rods, proper pistons, headwork etc)?

Does anyone know what ECU would actually be in the car?

Its a G reg 1.6 Ghia model if that is of any help

Cheers pal, but my question was more aimed at will this Orion be running OFAB/OFAC management or some other EFI derivative if there is one? And if its the same, essentially, can I use the same engine but bolt on all the turbo bits (rods, pistons, exhaust manifold, injectors etc) from a Fiesta/Escort RS Turbo

Yeah see what you mean. The orion loom will need a few mods then the ofac/b will plug in, then you just need mechanicals.

Pm Rogeyboy, he'll be able to help you... I'm pretty sure he's running Efi fiesta turbo stuff with a modded Orion loom...

It could be a possibility...ill definitely look into it and see what google brings up

If things go to plan, then Ill be building an engine eventually which will outshine my old setup for my S2
