Deflex are currently redesigning their mounts for the S2. They might be good value for the money when tehy reappear.

I've got vibratechnic ones on mine but they do create a lot more vibration through the car on idle as they are so solid, but the engine does hardly move at all now I would recommend these but as people have said may be easier & cheaper to just use ford items

The engine seems to be all over the place both with the original S1 and S2 mounts. In the S2 case, filling all the holes with polyurethane made a nice improvement. Not too hard and not too soft. In my mk1 Orion I use the S1 vibratechnic mounts and they needed some fiddling around with to make them silent at idle and when cruising.

My engine was all over the place wit the old ones.... So much that the wheel in my genrator, cut a hole in my NEW samce water hose...

think I might go for the vibratech's

Yes they create noice, because the engine is so strongly bolted to the chassis. The engine vibration creatas all kinds of resonances in the chassis. The change was a most though as I ripped to peaces several standard mounts.

What are the most hardcore mounts for a series 1 in the sense of not giving a crap if it noisey or harsh etc?? I had vibra technics in the FRST and that still managed to rip in half! Or is it a case of Zetec turbo/big BHP engine mounts become consumables. What does the the Focus RS use? could that be modded to fit a Zetec turbo??
