Default RST opinions........

Bought this and havent had it down the rolling road..... here is a pic of the engine bay and a list of mods that i know of. Ive been quoted by the guy i bought it off thats it around 200bhp. that seems a bit high to me though although its a handful to drive!

Mongoose 2.5, piper 285 cam, pipercross ind kit, fully rebuilt with triple angle valves (is that right?!?), group A head gasket, hybrid turbo, Pace intercooler (50% bigger), uprated clutch (unknown), new pistons, balanced crank, and other small parts ie. head bolts etc.

Now im far from a pro with engines, i just know enough to keep me out of trouble.

Opinions? And what can i do next to it????????????

also, i want reliability and would rather have 180bhp with reliability rather than 200bhp and no reliability. it also has a vernier pulley and rebuilt gearbox.

with the mods you have stated it is possible but do not run more than 16 psi if you want reliability in my opinion hope this helps

14psi should see 180bhp with those mods. Depends on who you get it tuned by. If its tuned proper proper than you should see around just over 180bhp with 14psi.

I think it's sounds good... but that's allways when you buy something... Has he got receipts from all th stuff he's claiming to had??? Maybe you can do a testing on the rollers???

Good luck with it!!!

Looks good! A lot depends on whats been done to the turbo, no reason why 17psi cant be ran safely assuming its been set up correctly and assuming your intercooler is upto it.

Id seriously consider having it setup for peace of mind to ensure that there is plenty fuel.

Next steps if you want more power has to be Fueling Tweeked, possibly a larger intercooler, and possibly changes to the turbo itsself.....having things checked by a Pro whilst being setup will give you a clearer idea, of what you have and where to go next.

Enjoy it, and just steer clear from holding it flat out till you have had it checked out
