ok not a band thing then your on the boarder of a start, dont unplug the cold start like a lot do as that just masks other faults. On the metering unit there is a small hole behind the air intake flap, turn it a 1/8-14 of a turn anti clockwise, then try start it, if you have a jump pack use this to to help, keep doing it till it fires, if it doesnt fire after you have turned it/done this about 5 time get someone to press the flap down about 1mm-3mm while trying to start it and get back to me
fireing order defo right?? 1 3 4 2
have u tried removeing plugs & giving them a good wireing brush/clean?
do u have fuel pressure at the metering unit? remove airbox/filer & see if there is any resistance on the flap when u push it down?
once the above are done ide look at fuel maybe:
bridge out relay to eliminate that
again unplug cold start valve
was the car running ok before u removed cap etc?

yeah getting good resistance from the unit i nevet touched a thing till it started missfire a cleaned plugs ive had 3 mechanics come up and still they can't get it run the fuel pump fine now took the imob off
Could be a sensor issue..... Unplug the wiring to the metering head this will make your car run with no electronic enrichment..... DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR WOTH THINGS LIKE THIS AS IT WILL BE LEAN AND COULD MELT YOUR ENGINE.... But hopefully it should improve the situation on idle and will at least point us in a direction to repair it.
If this makes things better its most likely your coolant sensor or throttle position sensor or the wiring to it...

check earths. i had an issue recently were the car would just die, then not spark, all of a sudden it would start and all was well. turned out to be a earth (battery end) were the solder had fatigued at the ring terminal.
