Default poly bushes, flo flex or power flex?

as above, which is best or do they both do the same job equally as well, only difference being the price?

That is one oppinion.

I bought flo-flex (Series 2 ERST full car set) for my cabriolet with S2 ERST running gear. Mine were a doddle to fit, needed no instructions, fitted perfectly and are still fitted and working perfectly 18 months on. I'd recommend them any day.

you were one of the lucky buyers, but i can guarantee there are more people that had problems than people that haven't.

i have a whole set on my s2 and the front has fitted fine and been good for 2 years ish, so dont know what happened with the rear set

powerflex or superflex all the way for me

I always find it hard to believe how many people really slate flo-flex when it comes up. I count myself really lucky that mine are spot on, it is a lot of money to spend for them to turn out shit. But there are so many people saying not to buy them, their advice should not be ignored. If you can afford it go for powerflex, if not, give flo-flex a try, you may get lucky like me!

About half of my car is Powerflex, the rest is Flo Flex. Never had any problems with either, the Powerflex do feel slightly higher quality in your hand, but both work fine on the car. Some of the powerflex prices are crazy, fook paying 50 quid for a bush!

A few of my m8's have had problems with flo-flex or deflex as they were known before they hit the wall and i have also had issues with them as have some people on rsoc i personally would only fit powerflex as the quality is far better and would rather pay strong money for something that lasts

How many miles do you do people with floflex? And is it all smooth motorway driving when you do drive?

I fitted a full flo-flex (well actually they were deflex back then) kit and half of it had failed within 3 months of daily driving. Went over to powerflex and all good 5 years on

Mine is just a summer toy, driven on twisty A roads and no motorway at all. Probably done 1500-2000 miles in the last 18 moths. In fact, that was all probably done in 8 months, it's been laid up since I started the engine conversion!

Going with everyone else who has a brain! Flo-flex are shite, total bollocks awful crapness product!

And yes i can say that as i bought them. Biggest tosh i've ever bought.

Outer wishbone bushes too big and wheel woobles, binned them and bought powerflex. Top quality bush!

Rear ARB bushes not cut so had to use a hacksaw to cut them so i could fit them onto the bar.

Front ARB bushes not cut so had to use a hacksaw to cut them so i could fit them onto the bar. Thought sod this shite and used purple Powerflex front ARB bushes i had bought years ago that i never fit to the car.

Steering rack Mount bushes total wankness, bushes not moulded to correct shape and are flat, should be bend and have correct edges to sit around the brackets that hold the rack onto the bulkhead.

Moving onto Customer service, Biggest crock of shit if they call themselves a good business. Rang them up to complain about the wishbone bushes, got told they have 2 different sizes for the wishbone.....Why was this never mentioned on thier OWN auction on Ebay?????? Told them something aint right that wheel moves on the hub. The sleeves weren't in the kit and they blamed me for losing them(fitted them after buying them about 6 monts before hand) but only just opened the package to fit them!!!! What idiots!
They sent me the sleeves that were missing, still had movement. Rang them back up and told them i still have movement in the wheels (rock them side to side) they said OK we'll refund you but the empolyee that was dealing with my case had gone home and they took a message from me asking for her to rig me back the following day, to arrange a part refund on the wishbone bushes.

Waited for the call, never received the call so thought sod Flo-flex and phoned burton power up and ordered Powerflex, they arrived and fit perfect.

Moral of the story, never buy Flo-flex.

Had flo flex anti roll bar bushes on the Escort. Were squashed out of shape after a few months. Pure tat.

Replaced them with powerflex. Just looking at the two side by side I was shocked at myself for even fitting flo-flex.

Supaflex or Powerflex all day over Flo-flex...

They're like night and day in quality...

Here we go again!
Ive got a full set of flo-flex on mine, been on for over 5yrs and 70-80k+, ive had them since they were de-flex, no issues fitting them and nothing has ever failed.
They are half the price and they don't appear to be moulded aswell as powerflex, (small imperfections visible on the surface) but ive heard equal horror stories about both companies.
The people who are slaggin them off obviously have a point, but then so many people use them and are happy with them and the company is still going so they can't be that bad!
Ive replaced afew with poly race ones from rally design, to make the car stiffer, they are rock hard plastic and don't really compress even when under load!!
