Oil filling.
Whats the correct amount of oil for the CVH engine in Litre or ML.
I didn't check this out the other month and i've just started to have oil pressure light on.
New filter and oil poured in, once settled down in the sump the level was about 4mm above the max fill level.
I'm thinking of dropping it again and binning it and buying better oil as its Halfords own make. I did this oil change a couple of months ago and started engine up and run quite a few times so strange for the pressure light to stay off all this time.(I've checked to see if the plug is on the switch)

Halfords own??.... have you fallen out with the engine?!??!?! 10/40 Millers full synth as a minimum, alternatively 10/50 Millers full synth for a decent bhp, 160 to 200bhp.
3.5ltr or thereabouts I think.

That's the worst thing you can do to an engine, best just to leave it alone and allowing it to start and tickover for a bit induces condensation into the engine so it rots from the inside out.

Totally agree. Either run the car up properly, take it out for a drive and let it cool down outside or don't start it at all in the winter months.
