i had the exact same problem on my s2, i had a fcuked actuator and my lower boost hose that goes from the induction kit to the turbo was collapsing unser boost so i put a set of samcos on and a new actuator then had it set up and now it runs sweet as a nut! get it inot the tuners mate , its probably the fueling as mine was using 30% more than it shouldve been!

if its a stnadard hose it usualy feels really soft, the oil corrodes the insides of the hose! mine wouldnt boost right and hesitated if i put my foot to the floor , to get it to run right i had to ease the accelerator down slowly

changed the hose and hesitating still the same but a tuner can sort that out its the ticking over thats the real prob. soon as the cold start stops in up to 2000 then 1000 and so on.
