Default Bleed valve or Amal valve????

I am a little confused in which one is the best to use, i have a bleed valve on the car at the mo due to the amal vale being fooooked, i have since been and bought a new amal v from ford, but i keep reading little bits and bobs in fast ford and performance ford on the 2 but u never get a def answer as 2 which is the best one to use......

so up 2 now the bleed valve is by-passing the amal but i have no idea which one to use????

HELP PLEEEASE........

cheers....

Think it partly depends on whether you want to run the Overboost feature too maximise torque. Pretty sure you can only use this on an Amal Valve.
Bleed valves just give you Static Boost.

Well, i bought my rs wiv out the gearbox so i had bits all over the shop. I eventually put a box in & conected everything bak up, including the bleed valve, but it was only running 10 psi max, i took the bleed valve off & tried the amal valve. Now im getting 18 psi & holding. So im saying amal valve ( even though its for the wrong reason )

The ECU controls the Amal Valve and you manually setup a Bleed valve by unscrewing/screwing it up to get desired boost

Havent had both of them on together. Just remember having the bleed valve on and only getting 10 psi. Left it off now the amal is back on. Dont see the need to put the bleed v back on.
