ok my erst has a fuel computor (on the d plate too, didnt think they could have it) neways, its reads perfect and ive grown quite attatched to it now cos it is much more reliable that the gauge and also i save loads of fuel if im on a journry too just knowing whats goin on helps loads

neways im breakin the old girl up and just bought a rs turbo 4 dr estate and what to fit the fuel computer, can ne1 tell me where the sensors and all the bits i need are and also is there a way of resetting it without disconnectin the battery??, cant get my hand up thru the vent to pull the plug but want to reset it to see what mpg i get on a run sometimes (avg mpg)

so in short

1.where are the sensors wires and stuff to fit a fuel computer
2. how can i reset without takin the batt off (some sort of hold this and press that maybe????)
and
3. how come my d plate has a FC ??, all fitted as per ford and she aint a later ringer cos the floors and the tags are all propper


fitting the interior out of my breaker rs this weekend so wanna change over fuel comp and dash etc etc while im at it

come on ppl, i know i need the pipe off the meter head, what else?

 

there is also a plug to the gearbox if i recall correctly and a plug to the fuel tank which sits just under the rear seat.........hth am sure someone will correct me if am wrong.

 

cool so it shud just be the fuel pipe with sensor, speed sensor out of the box and the bit out the tank then

It has a reset button in the front panel.
You need to move over the display, fuel computer loom, speed sensor from the gearbox and the fuel flow sensor from the fuel distributor.
