Default ACTs

What are people seeing? (include intercooler and boost pressure please)
I was seeing 35c max with my radtec front mount, now with the standard ic i get 50+c so i back off, im running 14psi.

Im interested as i wanna decide what cooler to go for... I think a full front mount will cause my coolant temps to go sky high again? So tempted on a pace or airtec double capacity, if they will keep temps in the 30s especially as i plan to up the boost in the future. If i am forced to go for a front mount i want one that fits in front of the rad fans.

As an extra point ive got a stage 3 t3 48/55 so that will keep boost temps slightly lower than a stock t3 i would imagine.

Also 35 deg max with my Radtec @ 32psi.
Radtec and Airtec fit in front of the fans with a little bumper trim (nothing that can be seen).

Ive got a radtec and theres no way it will fit infront of the fans... I guess the orion bumper stops it, but even if it did the pipes wouldnt fit i dont think.
I got 67c tonight after a blat, with the standard ic on

25psi, 1600cc CVH with Pace full width intercooler, generally about the 30-35şC mark.

iirc anything above 40şC and the timing is retarded in a bid to protect the engine.

Well i think my temps of 67c which i saw on a drive last night might be abit dangerous... Its well retarded at them temps so no real danger just mega slow for a bar of boost!
Ive had lengthy conversation with Alan at autospecialists and he's pretty sure fitting one of their new single pass intercoolers will keep charge temps down and allow suffiecient airflow to the rad still... Anyone using an Airtec Single Pass?

Mines sit around 24-27 when giving it some weather dependent, I have pace cooler with twin fans on front. Shitey eBay temp gauge but can't be far wrong! Coolant temps are fine also!

Also meant to say that's only at 10psi of boost.

I have a Radtec 'cooler with twin Kenlowe's on the front and an Airtec radiator. Temps are perfect, as are ACTs

One is usually only a few degrees above ambient temps. Custom pro alloy rad and 2.5 bar

The radtec cooler looks different to mine tho, maybe a newer design?

It doesnt really so long as the timing is mapped for whatever temps your running... Thats not to say high temps are good, they are not, but should never be dangerous as such with correctly setup management.

That depends on who mapped it, mine was set to retard after 50C for example.

Dunno bud, mine looks quite old? All I know is, it's a twin pass. Have you tried reverse flushing your heater matrix? Has it ever been changed?

I don´t recommend the Single Pass for you, because I had it on my car and water temps were high getting the same problems than you.
If you want to fit another front mount intercooler, I think the RS500 Style is the best from Autospecialist:

If I´m not wrong "Twins" fitted it on his car....

Everything in my coolant system is brand new in the past 4-5months other than the pump, which has done around 5-6k. It now runs fine coolant temps with the stock IC, but the ACTs go sky high!
Anvini the airtec single pass looks like it will allow alot of extra airflow to the rad vs the radtec fmic i had! Im dubious about the rs500 style as it blocks the whole rad again!
Whats the pro alloy double capacity like? Any better than the pace double?

Has anybody thought about pre compressor water injection ?

If you do it properly you dont need an intercooler.
