Hello Mike,

There is no benefit changing to a larger exhaust housing on a stage 1 T3 turbo.
The compressor side is already too small for any modified 1.6 let alone a 2.1.

The stage 2 T3 turbos are standard .36 exhaust housing with a larger compressor.
The stage 3 T3 are 55 or 60 trim compressors and the .48 exhaust housing.

A stage 3 would be a minimum for a 2.1 engine size.

The Turbo Technics stage 2 also has cutback blades, tad more lag but keeps going longer where it counts.

If you keep the 4x4 elbow I'm pretty sure you'll need the down pipe modding slightly to match up.

An exhaust shop should be able to modify yours without too much hassle.
