To adjust the linkage you will need a helper with them inside the car and you underneth.
first off make sure the car is in neutral then underneth the car undo the clamp at the end of the linkage bar (thats the bar that gose from the gear stick to the gear box there is two bars you need to work on the bar with the 13mm bolt/nut )undo the bolt/nut, once undone the gear stick should move freely and the linkage should slide on the shaft if it dosnt you need to free it up now get your helper to hold the gear stick in the postion that would be reverse (ask them not to hold it to near the seat), wilest there holding the stick you need to put the gearbox in reverse from underneth,to do this you need to look at where you undid the 13mm nut then on the stem that comes out the gear box (that the clamp was holding),(the clamp holds the gear linkage and shaft together so they move as one. ) you will see a hole you need to find soming that you can stick in the hole then turn the shaft clockwise and hold, then push in towards the front of the car you should here a clonk (the sound thats made when you select reverse) hold the shaft in that postion and do the clamp back up.
thats how you set the linkage.

hope this helps
tom

Great description above!
I always just put the box in neutral, put the stick in the neutral position.... And tighten! Always ended up spot on! lol
