Default fuel regulator

can someone tell me how to install my aeromotive fuel regulator. im fitting it to my 2.1 zetec an have just got my inlet made by crazycage an cant fit it till i know how to install fuel reg. it has 3 ports 2 inlines an the return. so how do i set it up does one of the fuel rail ends get blanked off

yes but doesnt make sence to me think i might be being stupid. all it says is if your using 1 fuel inline put that to left side of reg the blank other side off but would have thought id have to use that to connect to fuel rail also say use the bottom port for the fuel return but how can i if thats on the other side of fuel rail if i do that what happens to that end of the rail hope that all make sence

right been looking on net an found this am i right in thinking that the fuel reg needs to be fitted to the right hand side on the fuel rail. i thought it was the left side as that was where my one was.

it doesnt matter what end of the rail you fit the reg to. you can blank or fit a pressure gauge to the 3rd port mate.

ps this is how i woul do it .

1.... fuel feed from tank into one end of the rail.

2.... fit reg to the other end of the rail via a fitting or remote mount using a hose.( this would go to fuel supply on the pic you posted )

3.... return as it say this goes back to the fuel tank.

4 .... 3rd port , you can blank it or fit a fuel pressure gauge.

top man thank you. i have 4 ports if i i count the pressure gauge one aswell so ill just blank other one off an fit it on the right hand side of fuel rail cheers gary

ahh right, only saw 3 in the pic its fine to block it.

where you getting your fittings and hose?

thats not the fuel reg i have i was showing the setup making sure it was same way. i got all fitting with fuel reg which is good

Well worth getting a cheap pressure gauge off ebay (£5 or so) and setting fuel pressure to 3-3.5 bar Rob,
