Default Cvh block/zetec head

Anyone ever done this?

Currently acquiring an xr2 ill use as a track car as my rs1600 i planned originally to use on track will be too good to track when done.

Anyway long story short don't like the way an zvh drives fuckall then loads of torque then change gear; so

have a forged 1.6 cvh bottom end available at decent money
no oil pump issues like a full zetec
solid lifters as standard so revving no issue on a blacktop/no £2k cvh wild headwork needed impossible to find roller rockers etc.
can use focus rs exhaust man

has anyone done this? Any obvious issues I may have missed, had a search but hardly anything came up apart from a pisstake thread on what to call one.

They made a 16v CVH then thought hold up we can do this better hence the Zetec.

A forged cvh bottom end will run out of talent before a zetec oil pump either way lol

I dont think it's been done before no....
IMO Sell the forged CVH bottom end and buy a ST170 engine, fit a black top head and thicker FRS head gasket, keep the rev's below 7000rpm... Good for 350bhp and money in your pocket!!

The Zetec head requires additional oil drain back holes (the ones we plug on a zetec block)

using a cvh block with a zetec head will not work - unless some very creative (expensive) block modifications done.
