Theres a single wire on the back of the starter like a spade connector, make sure wire isny dodgy. It's for the solenoid to fire the pinion gear out to mesh with ring gear I think. I had this wire come off one day!

heck if the starter is drawing power when you try to crank (lights in dash should fade) if it does then it can be a number of things, but the starter needs to come out. Hope this was helpfull

Ill try these out cheers, its weird drove about yesterday then after i turned off i checked car again straight away n i wouldnt fire up, it turned over like it had a flat battery, came to it later on n no probs at all.
My dad said he had same prob on his, turned out something was missing off car, but he cant remember wat it was, he said it was only a cheap part needed?
Any ideas?

That wire behind the starter is a common problem on these. Id check there first!

With that wire off mine never even turned over. Heat off the downpipe can kill starters so if you have ruled everything else out, i.e loose wires, dodgy earth straps then id change the starter.
