Default Bonnet alignment

Evening,

Been trying all day to line my bonnet up so I cant mount the new wings. I can get it pretty much spot on when the bonnet is raised but when I go to close - it never lines up with the catch/release.

When I removed the bonnet I marked up where the hinges go underneath but didnt where the hinges attach to the inner wings because its all been sprayed since then.

When I bought the car it had these stupid bonnet raisers, could that have possibly knackered my hinges or anything worse??

Any advice would help because its doing my tits in.

Cheers, Ryan

I took mine off last year to fit all the under bonnet chrome plating and it took me ages messing about trying to fit the bonnet right so that it all line's up all perfect, it really pissed me off.

I understand it can't always take 5 mins sadly. Took a good hour to align the passenger door but at least we got there in the end! This just seems to never want to align! Matt I'm located just outside Dundee, can't see your location because I'm using my phone.

Its alright mate, think your could be a tad too far away ha ha. I will attempt it again at the weekend and see how I get on.

Luckily there is no engine in the bay at the moment so I can climb underneath to adjust it, just a ball ache getting under!

Cheers pal.
