Hey fellas , come to re-fit my dipstick tube after painting and its slack in the block . It was tight to get out but now its got no bite to it and you can pull it in and out far too easy

Any ideas on how i can rectify the problem ? Liquid metal or similar ?

Hi mate try using a centre punch to knock some grove in it that might make it a tighter fit

Knock a groove into the tube ? Sounds like it could work thanks for the reply

Fixed it

Slightly ovaled the bits that sits in the block with the vice and sealed it . Works a treat

I now have a hard tube again
