The gurgling noise is most likely the siphon cooling effect in the turbo.

My 3i runs fairly cool when driving, rarely gets to the middle or NORM unless i'm flat out for a while, and it creeps up to the N when sat in traffic then fan kicks in n it drops nicely below the middle again.

I took my car for a long run after rebuilding it on a fairly warm day. Thought i'd see how hot the gearbox felt since everything else was too hot to touch, it nearly burnt my fingers lol.

If anything seems a bit odd, then deffo get it checked out, but from what i've read it seems normal. Plenty RS's run hot all the time, my 3i usually runs a little on the cool side.

Lol that would have been first port of call!

For the record mine has thermostat in, think best oil for you would probably be 5w40. Theres a thread about oil grades in the RS Turbo section, it's sticky at the top.

Aye standard wheels all day long, Not a big lover of the cut away bumper think it would look tidy with a proper turbo bumper.

Stay out the back of Cupar bud
