Hi
Is the 1.4 a peak or are you holding that pressure?
Would be interesting to know engine/turbo/remap spec if you are...I need to get around to mine soon...any tips appreciated.

I used to run 1.2 peak and went from standard exhaust to large bore scorpion (whole system from manifold back) and that made the turbo come in much earlier - with 1.4 you should get a decent manifold back system really.
Would definitely recommend it

I was thinking about 1.4 fixed. my spec is:
MegaSquirt MS3, stanfard camshaft, bosch 440cc injectors, t3 stage3, foged 7,5:1 pistons, forged con rods ths performans, balanced crankshaft, stage 3 head, standard exhaust system and back box standard. AP racing clutch, standard ford head bolts and head gasket burton power.

will be reliable is that?
using only 76mm back box scorpion or others, and pipe stock, is good?

thanks

I forgot to explain.

At moment my car is running 1bar of boost, but next week I plan to increase the momentum to 1.4.

That sounds like a nice spec

would have expected an uprated intercooler on your list though for sure...?

not sure how reliable that will be, sorry, but you there is a lot more setting up to do there than that required for 1.2 bar! hope you are getting the fuelling/timing set up properly - are you using an adjustable pulley with the cam?

My advice would definitely be to get a full system from the turbo back - not necessarily scorpion, just the least back pressure system, especially with that spec

yes, a large front mount intercooler is fitted (radtec)
I have the adjustable pulley, but I have no cam.
I had a chip motorport developements, beige injectors and 15psi of boost, but the car running very hot and air fuel racio was not the best, so switch to the MegaSquirt.
definitely have to change the exhaust system.
thanks for help
