ho guys after not starting car after putting new ap clucth in and stage 3 turbo. Has been sat for 2 months. I have fuel and 13 volts and still wont start i have also tried pushing down the flap in metre unit, thanks for help

 

make sure there`s no air leaks, you got a spark? what else have you looked at?

 

All plugs sparking and fuel into metre unit. I will check boost pipes tonight.

 

Check all connections, after the work you most likely have a stray connector etc.

vacuum pipes breathers boost pipes everything. temperamental bleeders the mfi system.

Well it's got spark pipes are tight and got fuel funny squealing coming from meter side though

 

try new metering unit bud

 

Still no joy turns but no fire got spark an fuel and I push down flap in meter unit surely should turn over once or miss

 

How can I check meter unit???? Makes a strange noise coming from back of it

Sounds like your metering unit has had it or the black empfa unit on the side of it

 

That what thought any way of testing it?? I only want us it couple days before strip for zetec lol

 

When i put my old engine in my car the metering unit also made a squealing kinda sound, was getting some fuel through the system,but spent a while cracking all the fuel pipes on unit starting with main feed then pipes on the injectors, and then she fired up

By cracking i mean loosening the banjo bolts that hold pipes onto metering unit (individually),, then once theres plenty fuel coming out from them do the same to the pipes on the injectors,, i had a mate in the car flicking the ignition on when id "cracked" a line to prime pump and push fuel through,, worked for me anyway mate,but you might have another issue? Good luck!!

What's the wires for on left hand side o meter unit should it have power with ignition on??

 

If u put ignition on then push mfi flap down u will get a squeal noise that is pushing fuel to injectors then once uv pushed it couple times try turning it over it should start
Mine does the same when left for couple days but once I've had it running it starts every time after that
