yes it should, remove the air filter and pump the flap in the metering unit while someone primes the pump this should force the fuel to your injectors, it will take a few attempts but should work.

Mine only primed when I took the key out the barrel, if I turn the ignition on let it prime, then turn ignition off but don't take the key out, when I put the ignition back on it doesn't prime.

you will find it will only prime when the pressuse drops which usually takes a few secs, if your not getting fuel to the injectors then pressure will be low hence the priming every time you turn the key even if its switched back on instantly after being turned off, as said get someone to pump flap under air filter as you crank the engine

totally disagree mate
fuel not getting to injectors wont make the pressure low.
and car will not prime everytime you turn the key,if you turn it first time it will prime,if your attempting to start everytime it may well prime everytime, but if your just turning the ignition on to see if you can hear it then it wont prime cos pressure is there already

MFI N/A always primes when the key is turned. You don't have to take it out to let it prime again. Just turn it back to 0 and turn it again. Afaik MFI Turbo don't have a fuel pressure sensor, so I'm convinced RSTs will do it the same way like XR3is do, they use the same relay.

Is the fuel pump running when the engine is cranking?
