high 11's low 12's on boost, idle between 13.5 and 15, cruise in the 14's or 15's. Ballpark figures.

I doubt he'll be getting any where near 15's on idle Rick, probably more like 11-13 lol especially on MFI. My car will just about idle nicely at 13.1(ish), im hoping some different injectors will help this though.

How is your injector staging setup? I have never had an issue where I couldn't get a lean cruise or idle.

I forget Rick, i'll have a boot into windows in a bit and have a look. What do you normally use alternating or simultaneous?

I **think** im on alternating with 2 squirt per cycle. I suspect i can get a lean cruise, its just the idle, i had a little play this evening and can get it to around 13.5-13.8 but after a rev it stalls, but i think an idle control valve would help here a lot.

Rob,
No, your transient isn't tuned properly, most common thing I see.

Sorry Rick i don't follow, transient as in tps/map enrichment?

It doens't stall when i rev it with a lean(er) idle, I rev it, and as it settles back to idle it stalls... It doesn't like going below idle speed with a leaner mixture and just stalls. I had assumed it was because im not currently running an ISCV.

Im playing with idle advance settings so as it dips below its idle speed the mixture gets a little richer and i give it more advance...

What would you recommend sir, do you think my transients could still be cause for a weak idle? The engine also goes very lumpy with an unstable idle (with out reving etc) past 13.8, so in aiming for 14's and above at idle isn't possible at the moment

I'm on track with Gary, the fiesta will be on the Ford fair stand so come and find us and I'll glady take a look. I find it very off that some cars are struggling to run lean. You are on MS2 Extra?

Cheers mate if i get my shit together and make it there it would be great if you had a look at it. Even if the car doesn't make it i'll pop over and say hi.

Its on MS2-extra yep, im just building up another ECU with the extra drivers for sequential which may help in the future, but as you say it SHOULD idle better (and leaner) than it does

God the OP's thread got raped...

Just a little update, my car still won't idle any leaner than around 13.5 BUT the stalling issues have been completely sorted, my transients were wrong (thanks very much Rick!!!), now the car revs and settles back down to a good idle.

Its driving really well now, just a few more miles and it can have some abuse
