Default Headlights come on when brakes are applied....help!

Hi guys,

I've done a quick search but it only returned 3 results none of which were any use.

Basically when i push my brake pedal with all lights off, the headlights come on.

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

MOT tomorrow

Cheers
James

one of your rear bulbs is in the wrong way around

remove both brake light bulbs and it should go away, when it does, put them in and see if it come on again and then swap them around, as in remove bulb, rotate 180 degrees, replace

or else you may need to put the correct bulbs in

beat me to it

lights on old cars tend to be mainly earth issues or the stalks, classi ones for the cossie is that they earth back through the case of the foglight, and when it starts to rot, the first thing is that the earth goes and the lights tdon't work
