When I owned a sierra turbo, I was taking a friend out for a quick spin. Came slowly down a side road when a lambo drives past. We looked at eachother, but didnt have to say anything. We took up the pursuit.
After about a mile we were right up the lambo's rear, waiting for the next straight.
He took the corner a little faster than me, but waited a sec before he floored it when I was right back with him.
He took off a few feet before I got up to boost and closed the distance between the two cars.
Through the gears I only heard the V12 roar together with my turbo whine. Had to change gears on gut feeling as I didnt dear to take my eyes of the road.
After about 500m we both backed off, and rolled down to a stop whilst he just kept driving.
We laughed hard on the way back, as neither of us could understand what just happened.
Can still imagine the race when I close my eyes, what a car.

rob...i raced the rs4 on a rolling start from 40mph mate we raced to 140 and i left it! a gt3 i didnt say my car was quicker than one if u look at my post i was talking to the cossie guy about his one fela.... i raced another ones which i had my mate film for me its in my fone but i wont be uploading it as ill be in trouble!!

the guy obviously didnt know how to drive cause the ka aint quick but through first and second i had him till the next lights and then again untill third gear

Crazy cage has one of the fastest timed 0-60's in an rst at a touch over 5 secs, the RS4 does it in 4.5 sec and the quarter in 12.8 secs.....
the GT3 RS does 0-60 in 4.3 secs and the 1/4 mile in 12 dead.... never seen a road going RST do a quater in that time, i've only seen a hand full of cosworths do the 1/4 in under 12 secs.
Im not saying it can't be done, but theres a handful of RS turbos on this forum that could do it.
They are both standard reliable cars, go up against a modified B5 RS4 and see if your still bhp wanking at the pub.

my car IS faster than a rs4 on a 40mph rolling start i raced it all the way to stupid speeds and i left it so say what u want i no what happened!!! raced another that i filmed and left that aswell that i overtook after he had a headstart all on film! i didnt say MY car was faster than a gt3 either i havent raced one !!

You need to do be looking at terminals, not et's.
My Audi runs around 395bhp at the wheels. I've timed it at 4.2 to 60 with a shit gear change - it has got a sub 4 in it. But, once rolling Gary's Fiesta totally dicks it. Only Luca's RST can match that currently though.

Sounds like a fantastic car you have mate, why not bring it to the POD for central day?

he was definately racing me!! heres how it was with the race i have on film. was stiiting in traffic on a dual cariiage way and the passenger screams "rs4 rs4 wait!" so i look in the mirror and see it a car behind in the next lane.. the traffic [4 cars move off] moves on and he comes next to me staring at my car and gives me the thumbs up we both stay level and he just takes off! i didnt floor it becuase i already raced one and no my car is quicker than a standard rs4 but the guy [passenger] kept saying show him some power so i just plant the throttle and give him chase .. cought him up right by a camara both of us level up and we both drop gear and go for it i pulled away from him and tell my mate to film it ... soon i was doing 12o ish and he was way behind .. then he comes next to me and i put my hand out giving him a head start his car ROARED past me then i plant the throttle and in 3rd i pull away and then started pulling away hardddd... leaving him my car has alot of power from late 2nd gear onwards . like i said all this is filmed but i dont want to upload it

basically the turbo is too big for it and its still quick but 1st gear aint as good as all the other gears are.. my t3 was good in lower gears but faded where as this new turbo is mad from 2nd onwards [mainly use it for a38 top speed

skimmed pistons and standard rods... now before u say anything yes its been perfectly reliable for all these years!!! mates are running the same thing and theres have also been perfect all over 300bhp... SEVS has same spec running a genuine 328bhp and does track days etc aswell and still running fine!!

just the 1/4 time is not a direct comparison, i know a corsa with a redtop engine that can do a 12.1 sec 1/4 but @ only 95 terminal
getting a good time is about traction and the terminal mph = power to weight acceleration when already rolling

Mo RS Turbo - Your bay look good m8, the coil on plug is something you dont see much of. I bet it moves pretty well.
An RS4 is 400ish bhp and weighs alot more than an erst, which at 300 ish bhp probably evens out the power to weight ratio - so ive no doubt you can play with RS4s and M3s etc etc.. Nice work! But you can understand why people question such claims, when there is soo many ERSTs out there like Rob DOHC says with "200bhp" and are no quicker than standard and also an RS4 is classed a pretty quick car i think its fair to say!

Best race for me prob was in the 2wd coss, 340bhp with 400l/bs racing a r1 at 150mph, was stuffed me tho, he had is knee down at that, couldent overtake him lol. (private race track)

Mate 9/10 the car with a 1/4 mile time lower than a second will be the faster car from a rolling start. Traction doesn't = time, power to weight doesn't = terminal. Both factors influence each other.
If you want to be anal about it look up some standing mile times and compare them with 1/4's. As long as the gearing/aero dynamics/weight aren't silly.
