I was on the m4 when i see a gt3 rs in green in the back ground sitting on everyones tail till they moved out the way lol so i moved straight into the fast lane and sat at 60 and held him up till it was clear then went for it when he see i could pull away from him he moved into the middle and stopped playing lol

Reading these stories put smile on my face.our motors faster than we think.
I was very disappointed with the vxr astra.First time i gave one a go i thought he had something wrong with hes motor,it was that slow.couple months later,bump into another one,same again.did rolling start side by side,was not even worth the hassle.im only running 196bhp.car that was worth a go,audi rs4,i had slight pull against him.
Then one that really shocked me was skyline r32 475bhp,rolling start,he came on boost before me,edges forward but rest was even go.shocking!
Keep stories coming,love it.

To what mo put about being beaten.im happy to say i was beaten by evo 9 running over 500bhp.due to hes lag,i got in front first 3 gears,then all sudden i held this screaming roar,really was a moment when you go bloody hell that quick.i let off power,as he was gaining so fast it werent even worth me trying lol.amazing motor.funny thing was i had this great big smile on my face when it happend.

raced a bmw 330ci convertable in my escort 1.6 rs turbo a few months ago
the bmw was 240bhp mine is 200bhp [estimated] and he couldnt keep up with me! amazing feeling when he after each gear change he was behind me

Would your car be faster than a GT3 RS.... nope
Crazy cage has one of the fastest timed 0-60's in an rst at a touch over 5 secs, the RS4 does it in 4.5 sec and the quarter in 12.8 secs.....
the GT3 RS does 0-60 in 4.3 secs and the 1/4 mile in 12 dead.... never seen a road going RST do a quater in that time, i've only seen a hand full of cosworths do the 1/4 in under 12 secs.
Im not saying it can't be done, but theres a handful of RS turbos on this forum that could do it.
They are both standard reliable cars, go up against a modified B5 RS4 and see if your still bhp wanking at the pub.

Yeah i think i agree.skyline owned by a turkish lol.was probably 300bhp.hard to know if to believe what people say on the street.i was expecting it to be much quicker.where abouts you live fella?

Im sure there are RST's etc that can upset proper cars on here, just they are few and far between, IMO if you want respect come to the POD and do it there,

if your aiming that at me i can assure you im not lieing lol and at what point on the m4 can you stop and 1/4 mile lol we where on the move and doing around 60-70 mph and with me waiting for him in 4th just on boost thats where mines at its fastest lol and i havent said anything other than they are very fast cars but then with 500bhp and the same torque so is mine!

i had a few shite looking cars piss all over me, a shite lookin saxo on rallye steals but had a turbo vts lump under the bonnet, went past me spinning the wheels in 3rd lol, there also a horible looking mk2 astra on cav slab round here with 400bhp c20let, that one done my stage 3 saph, pissed werent the word lol

On the road so many lower powered cars can outperform higher powered/faster cars... 0-60 and 1/4miles times dont mean nothing on the road once your rolling...
Mojo - I can feel your pain, having a luton lemon beat you - altho it hasnt happen to me yet! I used to work for vauxhall and afew of the techs had pretty rapid motors, usually featuring a c/z20let, lotus carltons don't move too bad when theyre boggo either tbf!

i chased a m3 e36 over buckstones last year in my std xr4i.
just had a barny with my bird so the red mist set in when he overtook me. did about ten miles anything over 100mph and he was pulling away. he must have thought he'd got me beat when he opened up a big gap at times but i just kept my foot down.
slowed right down when he turned off at outlane and gave me a wave and thumbs up.

The new skyline is a good example of this, the car is brutal. Have a race with one of these and see if the above still applies, or even the new M5. They are by no means 'un beatable' but like i said before, no 200 brake RST will touch them. Sorry.

We have a peugeot 106 round here.He works at a dyno called atspeed.So he gets to play around with hes motor and get loads of discount i would think.Running over 350bhp with a 1.6 engine.Not a clue what engine it is.But he wheel spins while beating most cars and even a m6 up to about 120mph due to gearing.Bloody good stuff.
He's broken so many gearboxes tho..
To what rob said about a 200bhp having no chance against the new skyline,i totally agree.But MO RS Turbo is running more than that and anyone else who is running near or over the 300bhp would give it a go but as we all know,the biggest killer is getting grip! Doh

Heres a recent true story.
2 weeks ago was contacted by a young lad via my website, he had enjoyed our race on the Swallowfield Bypass & he admitted defeat saying its the fastest car ive ever met on the road.
Well ive never raced anyone on that bypass, yes i was going to Marks that morning so time & place was right. Its the one place i can get on the throttle so my routine is to blast up to 160/170 on the first straight & then amble the rest at 120/130 ish. Apparently this poor sod chased me for the whole 3 miles & i didnt even know

Its mainly in your mind lads get Datron on it & go to an Airfield then you will find out how fast your car is

You could race a new 507bhp M5 in your 200bhp Erst from 60-120mph and edge past him, but he could have just nailed his top gear while you went through 3rd, 4th and 5th... I don't mean that literally, i mean it as an example.
Alot of newer more powerful cars are pretty quick ingear once moving and if the drivers not much of a racer he might not drop it, mite just plant his right foot! While us lot are dropping 2-3cogs and redlining everygear.

I had a brief tear up with a z4m a while ago in my boggo 328i, i couldn't believe i was keeping up.... then i looked at the bell sniff driving and decided he had done just that. Mashed his foot through the floor in 6th lol some people literally don't know how to drive a car fast... dangerously yes.
