Default Just when I thought it was fixed!!

Got a new clutch cable on today and the car felt much better. On the way home after work I went to do a 3 point turn to drop a mate off ad suddenly could not select a gear with the engine running. So turned it off shoved it angrily into 1st and drove home. Am raging!

i had that exact problem mate... if u look on the top of the gearbox pull it back up from the cable till it clicks a few times. then put your foot on it it will work normal unless u release it quick then it will mess up all again. i had mine done and every time i left the garage 4 times i came back then at the end we put that new pedal quadrant one and its never give mine a problem ever again

Dunno if you can get the alloy ones any more but I have ordered the quadrant and pedal to do the mk5 conversion as per AP Racing website.

The clutch guy visited and said he also noticed there was play in the top bush where the clutch arm connects so getting this replaced too.

Gotta wait till Tuesday though

Metal quadrants are available all be it alittle pricey, they replace the plastic type.

I changed mine when I changed the pedal to a mk5 type.

Mk5 pedal and quadrant fitted today and what a difference it has made. The pedal feels much smoother and progressive.
