the back part is bonded and 2 strips go under the roof near the tailgate
it is welded to the roof where the sunroof goes, you will see the koin along the edges

Best way of removing the spot welds? Ive got a spot weld drill bit but i dont want to go right through the roof.

Just take it easy with the drill mate. and take care when removing the tray. if you dont cut the sealer/bonder and try to pull it from the sealer you will crease the roof mate, the roofs are realy thin when you take the tray out.

when I removed my sunroof I just pulled it all out,no crease in the roof left, just a big gaping hole,if you're not going to be using te sunroof then it doesn't matter if it gets a bit mangled, mine would have been unusable after I removed it
