Default XR3i EFi - OFAC ... ?

Now i know all the questions have been asked before, but different people tell different stories... Most tuner etc are telling me you can't just plug an OFAC Ecu into a XR3i EFi loom (changing the act and map sensor) because there are more differences, but places like RSbible etc say you can.

Has anybody actually done this and had it run perfectly...

I have an EFi Orion that ive converted to OFAC (the RSbible way)and it doesnt run right... My tuner says its extremely lean and won't respond to changes in the COPot or Fuel pressure reg... The only thing i havn't done is disconnect the pin at the EDIS module.

God Roger I thought you had this sorted out! I was hoping you could do mine!

I did a straight swap of the ECU's, it didn't run right. I moved the CO pin, it ran better, I left it at that.

Once the spring gets here, it's going straight up a tuners to get a probe up the exhaust.

I'd guess if yours isnt responding to the CO pot, then it's not in the right pin??

My tuner got it sorted, but im abit suspicious of what hes done tbh. Looked at my ECU pins and 2 have been swapped and then swapped bk again. Altho it now responds to the COPot, but it still hesitates coming on boost in 4th n 5th!

CO started at 0.15% (when i took it to rallytec) and is now at around 3%!

I'm after someone whos done it before to see what i done wrong to start with... That way i can write a definitive guide for ppl to use!

Two different looms and ecu setup's why are you tryin to mix and match.

A FRST ecu will need a FRST loom to work properly.

Because tog o EFi everybody says use an EFi XR3i loom (the same as what was in my orion) RSBible etc say that theres only afew differences between the looms - some pin swaps etc...?

I was under the impression alot of people on here have gone EFi Turbo using XR3i looms etc...?

Its weird coz the co pot responded when the 1afa/orion ecu was plugged back in and the car ran fine. But when the ofac ecu was put it co went right down to 0.15% and no matter what was done it wouldnt change!
