Default Turbo Psi's

Hi, Ive just brought a chipped ECU and wondered what i could turn the Psi up to? I know it cant go to high for obvious reasons,

Ive been told i could run 14psi on a standard engine but thought id see what people are running or if you have any advice about running it that high.

You shouldn't adjust it at all. A tuner however should be able to bring the boost level up to somewhere suitable for the spec of your car. If you are on the standard intercooler I wouldn't like to run much more than about 12psi, if you have a good quality one you might be able to run 17psi. To be fair there are quite a few factors to take in to give you a figure here.

All depends what the ecu is chipped to run really. As for engine 25psi is ok. I know people running that with no problem. And is what ill be running on my zvh.

But you need to know wat your ecu is set up to run.

My engine is far from standard and right at it's limit at 25psi. We managed 20psi peak and 18psi heald on a standard FRST bottom end with some careful setting up by a friend who made it clear that if it went pop it was on our heads. (head and cam were both uprated and turbo was a stage 2 Hybrid T3)

Well i can get hold of an intercooler and t3 hybrid for £200. I dont think ill run anymore than 14psi, The chip has got unlimited boost, the car is currently in a garage now so it will all be setup properly but i wanted as much psi as possible but something that is safe to run daily.

14-16 psi is fine mate providing you have a decent front mount like a grs, radtec, or airtech to keep charge temps down and a hybrid

On a stage 3 T3 25psi would make anything between 240bhp and 270bhp, bit much for stock rods really.
