On Rs Turbos the chip genrally only removes the boost limit enabling you to up the boost above the normal limit of about 7-8 psi. Only a few like the turbosystems chips alter timing slightly. Non of them alter fueling as obviously it is mechanical injection.
Get a chipped ECU and plug it in. It wont effect your car until a tuner sets it up and takes advantage of the extra boost you can run

i wouldn't bother personally. I bought a turbosystems chip for mine years ago, and all it did was cost me a headgasket and a bill from NMS for another chip once they'd rebuilt the engine
As said above they need setting up afterwards anyway on mfi, so i'd take it to a tuner once you find one thats close enough or one thats recommended to you, fit a K&n, a decent exhaust and a chip and with the boost and fueling set correctly you should see a nice 160 - 170 bhp and trust me they're a nice car to drive at that power level. a completly different beast from standard.
Just my two penneth, take it from a guy who's already had the big bills from not doing it right in the first place
Joe.
