my series 2 boost tails off from a bar to about 10 psi useing the standard amal valve set up so i put a bleed valve inline just to see and it will hold a bar right through the rev range no bother. the thing is i dont want to run a bleed valve, ive heard about jetting the amal valve just wondered if anyone could give me any advice on what size to jet it for a bar?wastegate or compressor etc?

The fueling is fine for a bar and im assuming its not the actuator as it will hold on the bleed valve?
i have read that you should use a certain amount of actuator preload and bleed of the rest through boost control.

Yes rob your right.

The amal valve should have 2 jets.

2mm and 3mm.

One is fitted into the Compressor side.
The other into the return.

Changing these will effect the boost curve, experiance or guessing will give you the boot curve you want if you have a few to try. Also changing the preload will change the curve.
