are there any good pattern parts around or are fords the best place as there very expensive i know in the long run you want the better parts i just want to know if there are other places to get them from without paying for a ford logo'd box

Oil pump is very important that you get a decent one. I would never risk running a copy oil pump in any engine i have built either fwd or rwd CVH Zetec YB etc..

However the water pump is not as important as you can get decent copy items. Just mae sure that the cooling fins are made from metal and also have a hole inthe middle to allow for the extra water flow. Some of them are made from plastic and have no hole in the fins maing it very restrictive.

Oil pumps are £180 for CVH from Ford (Aprox)
