Just got a very nice engine off a mate for a very good price.

its a full blown zetec turbo, steel rods, forged focus rs pistons, gt28 turbo, arp bolts throughout etc etc. i'll get some pics up at the weekend.

I have one small question and that is....when it comes to fitting it will the turbo hit the rad? just one of them things that popped up in my head lol.

also it doesnt have the rover inlet it has a ford item where the throttle body is facing upright if you know what i mean? what does everyone that has done this conversion done about pipework? any pics of a zetec turbo fitted to a s2?

its easy enoughto move the rad forward a little for clearance,
depends what ex manifold its using but they need moved with a t3 so i'd think a gt28 will hit as well,
never used 1 of those inlet manifolds, dont think they flow that great,
prob best to change it while its out tbh

ok cool im thinking of changing the turbo anyway. what about pipework with the rover inlet?

think the inlet is off a mk1 focus rs?

The 2.0 zetec and the rs both came with the same inlet, with the TB facing upwards. Only difference was throttle bodies. Zetec was plastic, and rs metal iirc. It's probably this type of inlet, if so, hoses from a frs would fit, or get some silicone ones from the likes of roose motorsport.
