No need to cut it out to fit your fans. i run one 12" heavy duty kenlow and its not slimline still fits with abit of modding.

and i have seen alot and they doo look wrong tbh. if i had a ic with fans in the middle between rad and cooler it would look silly, just like fully meshed over ones. imo they need to have fans in them to fill the space just my opion.

I have 2 7" fans on the radiator. If you have notice i have had to cut alot of the panel away around the lights to fit the cooler in and move it forward slightly to aid a bit of room from the manifold.. it's a 3" twin pass cooler and works very well. To help the temp i have used the kit supplied by MSD ( thermostate and fan switch ) to help the temps. Also added water wetter to help. It works really well and not a problem in hot weather.

13 row cooler fits perfect in the mk3 bumper
had the cooler changed so feeds are from the side not top / bottom
