I agree, it sounds like you may to more harm than good!

A good setup will cost £140 tops!

depends on how much rust in the areas they usually suffer with like battery tray ,boot, sunroof, sills floor pan front panel behind the bumper just ive it a good look over as for tuning the nearest one reputable tuner to you is motorsport developments in blackpool just wouldn't thrash it too much till its set up oh and you have norris motorsport in Derby

try not to stay on boost if possible take it easy it should b fine mfis are prone to be running very lean if not set up on a regular basis and thats what scrapped my last bottom end too much boost not enough fuel just take it easy and you should be fine mate it could be running a bit rich in lower rpm but a little bit rich is way safer than too lean

can you get a picture up mate as said above though i wouldn't tamper with it anymore motorsport developments have got an offer for set ups at the moment for set ups less than 120 plus vat trust me mate its well worth getting it sorted now than leaving it to get worse plus with a good set up you will find it will be more responsive hope this helps motorsport developments are a trader on this site speak to them
