Guys, Just had a full engine rebuild and am currently running the engine in. I've noticed a slight leak coming from the sump gasket. I'm due an oil change within the next week. Whats the best thing to use around the gasket to help seal?

VAG have sump sealer, its the business.Trainee mechanics used to ring the sump bung on the alloy sumps and used the sealer to paste in on again. Work every time

Nothing, just the gasket!
Might need to use a little superglue to stick it to the block if doing it with the engine in the car.

as karlos says best to fit these dry or glue the half moons if fitting in car
