not after step by step instructions,im ford trained technician got a couple of escort turbos built a few engines up.
thing is just got my first rear wheel drive a 1.8 cvh sierra saphire, saved it from the scrapy also got a spare engine of a mate.
im thinking of bolting a spare turbo head with turbo and rest of the bits on,im confident in doing all the wiring and fabricating bits up to make it work,im not planning on running crazy bhp at the moment so not gonna do any major works to the bottom end.has anyone done this?did you come across any problems?any advice is welcomed cheers

i had looked into this before and from what i could see from piks i looked at, the rs turbo exhaust manifold wont be able to be used unless you make a custom engine mount as it gets in the way, otherwise you will need a custom exhaust manifold, i havent seen anyone else do a cvh turbo in a sierra yet though

Best strongest and most straight forward engine to stick in it (IMO) is the 2.0 DOHC, Turbo Technics even did a conversion for it. LOADS of combinations of heads, blocks and cranks to choose from. Mated to an MT75 and an XR4x4 rear diff.
IIRC a 2.3 head on a 2.0 block gives a good CR to start with. Having seen numerous DOHC bottom ends and owning many a 2.0 sierra i can tell you they are bullet proof!
Failing all of that a 2.0 pinto with cosworth pistons and rods is a fairly capable lump too.
You would probably better off asking a few questions on the ford sierra owners club forum mate, just google FSOC sierra and its the first hit.

Lower it to 8.5:1 or even 9.5:1 and you probably have a very cheap 300brake.

it will work running up to 10psi ish,
u need to weld a return into the sump
u need to make a 90degree elbow to bolt to the manifolt to make the turbo top mount ,(well, thats what we did, seemed most sensible idea)
you need the fuel pump from a old golf gti as this has a swirl pot effort built in, or get an injection tank.
running efi is easier as has a seperat bay loom.
should give ya 160ish bhp
enjoy
