Rst engine in kit car question.
Alright guys, I will be building a locost 7 style kit car soon and i would like to use the escort turbo engine as i have always loved the sound of it, i just need some advise on what engine to use, i would like it to be around 200bhp but i dont want to spend stupid money, would a standard escort turbo engine and management be good for this? i have also heard about the zvh conversion would that be a good idea? thanks for any advise.

If you want 200bhp then go with a Fiesta RST engine, then it will run EFI as standard. Get a front mount, chip, exhaust, filter and a set up.

standard engine and management will do 200bhp no problem but you'll need a stage 2 turbo along with a -31 actuator and front mount intercooler.
I'd be inclined to use an efi engine and setup like out of the frst though as above maybe running on megasquirt or something

Mate give car builder solutions a call and speak to Barry Taylor he's built a few rst power'd kit car's they will have most things you need in stock.
