Default brake lights stuck on?

anyone know how to fix this problem.Just happend all the sudden.CheeRS

on my mondeo it was the bracket near the brake pedal which holds the switch for the brake lights, the bracket had slightly bent away from the pedal. very simple fix.

otherwise check your earths to the rear lights, wiring to the brake pedal switch etc

As said it will be the switch, when off the brake pedal the switch is actuated, when you press the pedal it releases and switches the lights on, so either it has come adrift or faulty switch, most likely the former.

happened on mine..i just put a bit of wd40 round the pin that moves, and pressed the pin for 5 mins to work the wd40 in..mine was just clogged up with a bit dust n stuff..yours might not be but maybe worth a try
