Thumbs down Cutting out.!

My S2 has started cutting out at juntions. If you give it some boost when you get to a juntion it cuts out. seems like feul pump is strugling. is this common?

I sure I have heard of similar problems before.

can any1 advise please.

Update. just been up shop. driving like an old man an still cut out twice so its doing it all time. can hear pump strugling like its low on feul but it not.

gunna Put a filter on it tomoz and try that.

thats it mate, filter then prob pump.

mine started making a shit load of noise, a grinding type noise like it was low on fuel like you said. but i drove mine home and bought a new pump the following day. your really just f**ked if that goes on you.

yeah could be filter/ pump, is it dying when braking and do you have a dump valve as had a few probs with the cheapo ones on peoples cars
also the oneway valve on the inlet to servo has been knacked and caused stalling when stopping
or an airleak
only trying to help

Thanks for info people. Im pretty sure its fuel issue and the feul pump starts making noises and then. ok she cuts. Last time it done it today was while driving in 3rd about 25mph.

pump started buzzing then boom. then takes few about 5 secs of cranking to fire back up.

It will idle fine all day long just when driving. like I said at first it was only after giving it a boot full and stoping at a juntion. now it just randomly start gurgaling and buzzing loads den cuts out.



I will clean conections on pump 2moz and put a filter on it. see what happens.
