Phoned ford today
for a price on a new camshaft, a snip at £219.........dont know if it included lifters, ive just put my jaw back in.....
my plan was to buy a decent ford cam, then send it to some engineering firm and have them reprofile it to 35 spec.......
i might review the situation......

15K+ Super Poster!!
you can't have it reprofiled, the CVH35 has more lift!
Std cams are available from Motor factors with lifters for about 100 quid, and they are the same quality as the ford items

You can have it reprofiled, they take away material from the base of the lobe which allows the lifter to extend more giving you more lift when it gets round to the peek of the lobe.
But I would'nt do it as most cams have a hardened layer which is obviously ground off when reprofiled... although with our CVH cams it will probably make no difference lol
