sell the engine, buy a zetec, coswurv on this site done the said conversion, he didn't keep i very long iirc

Have a look through the resto section, it should be in there still, will give you a good idea whats involved, a lot of fabrication and chopping the offside inner wing

Mt75x, standard box will bolt up (i believe), but will go for a poo fairly quickly.

Ive got the clutch and flywheel from a YB on a V6 mondeo box that I bought, both new and unused, yours for a 150 quid collected as they are in the way!

You cant use a standard YB flywheel as the ring gear sits too far out.

theres a few who have done this conversion, and have used bc boxes, mtx box wouldnt break but would need mass fabricating to get it to fit!
dont do it to the s1 unless you want to ruin a nice car

As stated above me and my borther (coswurv) did put one of these fwd it was a lot of fabrication work and it did go well, but the only reason we built it was as an experiment and due to the fact the cosworth engine came up a ridiculously low price. if you want something to use everyday follow the herd and build a strong steel cvh, zvh or ZT.

thanks mate..... well my s1 is going this week (hopefully) and ive got a nice little mk2 fiesta 950pop to do lol so it would have to be a big spec cvh as i built one before and it was cool but only 190bhp .... so the next one needs to be 250ish and caged ect
