Yeah it'll be the same, if you're on MFI a single piston one will allow air leak and the car will run like a bag a crap.
You may still have problems with it stalling out on idle with a twin piston one too, i'm sure a mate of mine reckoned his stalling problem on idle was down to his twin piston DV.
