Default gear linkage rebuild kits

hey all, as above i need a linkage rebuild kit for the series 1!

anyone no where i can get one????

there is no kit availible, best to try and get a good linkage instead.
either the universal joint gets sloppy, or the ball and housing in the selector box itself from the gearknob itself.

you can get new springs and bushes for the ball and housing part where the lever sits but a nightmare to swap and not worth the hassle as often doesn't solve the sloppyness so as above try to find a good 2nd hand unit

cheers mate, tryed fords,they say they dont do them and cant find anything on the bay!!!

yeah i got mine off ebay was actually for a fez but fits just the same

You'll need a 5 speed linkage out of a car that was built before '86.

I've got an early type linkage in my Fiesta, had it rebuilt myself two years ago. Nearly all parts were all available @ Ford and still are.
