these do not operate at the std temps, we see hundreds of rsts that really struggle with temps, and these will help big time

They work in unison really. The stat attempts to lower the overall engine temperature, whilst the fan is teher to cool it down if the engine starts to get hot anyway.

Ok, i have a request.

When you run the car on hot, mainly town driving, or traffic, the fan is on and off, and still over heats. Now, i lent a mates over ride switch with the same system off you, and ran the swtich and got the over ride placed in my loom after your system, this worked.

Now whats the main problem with switch fans? as in using just a switch you turn on when hot and off when cool.

our new switches have only been available for a few days, is your freind using one of them already?

our new switches will bring the fans on earlier, and keep them on longer so the temp is dragged down further before they switch off..

the problem with having to manually turn the fans on/off is simple, A its a pain in the ass, B if you forget or miss the fact the engine is hot, you will cook it, manual switched fans is a mugs game imo. if your using the car hard, the fans will be the last thing your thinking about lol

ive got a msd modified fan switch kit and 82 degrees thermostat and alloy rad and fmic and my car dont even go above half way even in hot weather....

its one of the best mods avalible for a rs turbo and one of the cheapist .... a well worthy mod...

everyone thinks by wiring up the fans permently it will run colder but it wont because if the fans are on all the time then it wont get to the right tempreture to open the thermostat and when it does then its to late as the water hasnt circulated and you've already cooked the thing

Have had one of these for a little while but not fitted it yet, what's the idea off the plug on the end? can this be connected up to the existing loom ? as mine doesn't have a connector? or do i just cut this off and connect to the loom another way? Thanks

This a good mod to the car.If your running a manual fan switch, then only takes a few brain cells to know when to turn the fans on and off.So you wont be causing any damage.Keeping the fans on is pointless unless you got some serious problems.

Are these not just a straight swap?

The original loom has a connector that should connect into this new one.

i didnt know the loom originally had a plug to connect this straight in, always thought it was a case of gettin the 'female' plug and joining that to your loom then plugging the fan switch plug in. Yeah james let us know soon as they're back in stock, tried ordering one when i phoned the other day and ordered a phase sensor thing from u guys. Your delivery service is the best out there, plus they chucked in some free stickers that i asked for. Top lads cheers.

the switch is a straight swap, it just requires a small wiring mod to fit it, cut your standard plug off and wire directly to the new sensor which comes with wires attached.

Hi James,

Are these out of stock again?

I'm after one but will want to buy both the 82 Degree Thermostat & Fan Switch at once. Save the messing about ordering twice.

Cheers

Darren
