Check the small wire off the alternator is not broke also your alternator may be on its way out. On idle if you have your lights on when it seems to be dieing if you rev the engine do the lights brighten?

is this before or after your mate set the car up? you might be better just starting one thread about your car and asking questions from there?

sorry so many lil things wrong with my car lol it started doin all this when my friend changed the engine put new water pump oil pump and got 2nd hand fuel metering unit cuz the co screw was fooked on my old one.since all that has been done the idle is all over the place u can hav it idleing with the light of bout 1100 rpm and then u put the lights on and itdrops to bout 900rpm.when you start it it need throttle and untill its warm it tryes to die at low revs but wen it warms up it stays alive.if you put all the window heaters lights and heaters on full the car will die.wev put a voltmeter on bat and it hardly changes.hope this can help you to help me thanks

if i start it from stone cold u have to give it some throttle if u dont it just dies straight away but if u keep it at 2000 rpm for a while it will idle

your base fuel level is out or the cold start valve is playing up i'd unplug the cold stat valve first and see if it starts any easier if no better you'll need your base fueling set and if there's a different metering unit on it your going to need your boost fueling checking too
