REmoving the interior and where to get sound deading ??

Default REmoving the interior and where to get sound deading ??

Hey all.


I could do with removing my carpeting and replacing the sound deadning stuff underneath.

how do i go about removing the carpet and also where can i get replacement sound deadening ??.

I don't know where to get original sound deadening panels however you should be able to get generic material from ebay to cut to size.......

If its like a lot of rst's i've seen be prepared to be horrified by what you find lol

to remove the carpet take the front seats out and possibly the back seats then remove the side stips from near the doors and then the carpet is usually hooked behind the dash oh and take the centre console at the handbrake surround off.

as zetecfiesta has said, take all of it out, the back seat does need to undone, and be very prepared for what you might find!

you also need to undo the front seat belt bars at the bottom as the rear part goes through the carpet

they do pop up on ebay ever now and then keep your eye out, i needed some cause myne was soaked and a couple was ebay after i spent ages drying it out, nightmare.

Yeah just sourcing some for mine,the front bit got lost at the body shop then the rear bit got soaked when the drain bung came out and the rear footwell flooded plenty of people on here breakin rs turbo's so get in contact with some of them
